Satellite Internet for Gamers…

Playing games over satellite has always been a problem. The main thing is that pings, also called, latencies are way to high. Averaging around 650 ms they are way too high for playing online games such as:
Call of DutyWorld of WarcraftCounter StrikeCom…

I recently tried to play some Call of Duty over satellite and my pings were between 500ms and 700ms. Totally unplayable, the distance to the satellite is the true ping killer

Gaming over satellite is indeed not really fun. I’m hoping low earth orbit satellites will bring an affordable solution in future.
